2nd National Conference on Space Medicine

2nd National Conference of Space Medicine Julia Bereszczyńska II Polish Conference of Cosmic Medicine is a joint initiative of the Medical University of Gdańsk and the Military Institute of Aviation Medicine, carried out as part of the Fahrenheit in Space project. The event develops the idea of earlier meetings – from the first edition in Gdańsk, which introduced participants in the field of space medicine and radiobiology, to the Warsaw meeting extending the environment of researchers and institutions interested in space. This year's edition is clearly international and focuses on a practical view of space research. This is the space where scientists, doctors, engineers and technological sector representatives talk about how research outside Earth can change medicine here every day. The program will include topics related to the effects of microgravity on the human body, diagnostics in conditions of limited access to equipment, and the use of space research in rescue or military medicine. Participants will be able to learn how conditions in space help to better understand aging processes, develop new therapies, or test technologies that later go to hospitals on Earth. The conference also has the ambition of building a strong cooperation environment in the field of space biomedicine. The aim is to create a network linking research, clinical and technological centres, which could translate into the development of joint projects and the implementation of innovation. Organizers focus on the open formula of the event – with emphasis on discussion, exchange of experience and establishing contacts. It is a space for both recognized experts and people starting their way in the world of space research. More information and programme of the event.
